Our Commitment To Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains our online information practices, providing you with the opportunity to understand the way your information is collected and used.
This notice is available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested. If we change this policy we will email you to let you know.
The Information We Collect
This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on the Ingredient Jobs website, for example when you sign up, place an order or apply for a job.
We collect the following:
In some cases, if you apply for a role on our website, you may be asked to upload a copy of your CV and a covering letter.
If you’re signing up as an employer or recruiter, we take more information such as a web address, company profile and company logo.
The Way We Use Your Information
We collect this information to allow you to gain access to the service and to provide a more bespoke service to you, for example, tailoring our job alert messages to those which are most likely to interest you, or refining the search results for you after sign in.
We use this information to track your activity on the site, allowing us to understand which job roles are popular. If you apply for a role, some of your information, such as name, email address, CV and cover letter is made available to the employer, both in our admin area and to their preferred email address for correspondence.
We do not publish or sell your information. This includes all information, such as your email address, CV and other information. The only time your information is made available to an employer or recruiter is when you share it, such as when you choose to apply for a job.
We occasionally share some information outside our business for processing purposes, for example, your email address, when we use a third party mailing system such as MailChimp or MailerLite to distribute a job alert email or monthly newsletter, in this instance you will always have the opportunity to opt-out.
*Please Note – We cannot take responsibility for your data once it is shared with an employer after you apply for a job. We try to ensure that all employers and recruitment businesses are genuine and only provide services once our quality checks are complete, this said we cannot take responsibility for malicious acts with their email systems or websites or where fraud has occurred.
Before applying for a job on our website or any other website, it may be good practice to remove any sensitive information from your CV such as:
Or any other sensitive data, which could be used against you.
You should also take the time to review the employers or recruiters privacy notices online.

In the event of complaint or problems, please feel free to contact our Data Officer, James Hitchco – firstname.lastname@example.org
