JOB SUMMARY: Plans, directs, and controls business unit’s activities to accomplish its budgeted financial objectives. This position is responsible for long range planning and implementation, as well as the following functions: Production, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Quality, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Accounting. Full P/L responsibility for Sensient Natural Extraction business. Constantly seeks the maximization of results and a positive corporate environment by coordinating the activities of the business unit, complying with the goals of the company, increasing business and improving profitability, always observing ethical and moral values in all the businesses of the company. E SSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Achieve revenue and profit targets in any given quarter/year. Provides leadership to develop and implement long-range business strategies to meet business unit growth expectations. Organizes and operates business to exceed customer expectations in all departments. Reduces cost through continuous process improvement and waste elimination programs throughout the business. Promotes innovation and encourages the development of new, value-added business opportunities. Introduces and operates under a Total Quality Management philosophy. Utilizes and supports valuable synergies within the Sensient affiliate companies. Prepares and attains budgets while conducting business activities in accordance with approved corporate guidelines. Hires and develops staff to meet the demands of the organization. Reviews and approves all capital expenditures within company guidelines. Seeks profitable business growth through acquisition and expansion of distribution sales. Ensures that operations conform with Sensient’s Code of Conduct as well as local government regulations. Maintains open communication throughout all levels within the business unit. Responsible for all unit operations for Sensient Natural Extractions. Key focus is to maintain and grow the business units’ strong customer relations across all strategic industry groups and drive the marketing/sales activities to a long-term business development orientation. Insure facilities have capacity to meet growing sales needs by developing capital plans and budgets to expand in logical and systematic way. Organize, motivate, and upgrade where necessary to a high energy, efficient, and market-focused organization. Assist in the evaluation and identification of possible acquisition candidates for Corporate and Division review. Maintain proper controls on assets assigned to business units . Oversee supplier management and Raw Material sourcing and purchasing. Approves payroll for entire site personnel and main signatory for employee agreements. Development of others, integrity, organizational knowledge, seeking information. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree is required with preference in a technical field of study. MBA is highly desirable. Five to ten years’ experience of progressively responsible positions in a medium to large corporate atmosphere. Five years of general management, experience is preferred.
