Middle East & Africa Mondelēz – Research Development & Quality Innovation is currently seeking a Regulatory Affairs Group Leader located in at our Technical Center in Wroclaw, Poland to support Middle East & Africa RA reporting to the Section Manager SARA MEA. This position requires ensuring Mondelez products maintain full compliance with local regulations while remaining competitive within the marketplace. This position is responsible for regulatory compliance of products, labels, advertising and promotions in adherence with Mondelez International policies and guidelines for assigned brand. The candidate will assume a regulatory technical leadership role providing direction and input for brand development, project strategies, and product claims that enable significant and sustainable growth opportunities. This position provides the opportunity to interact with cross-functional members of the business, working closely with the Nutrition Strategy and Communication team, Specification Team and across MEA stockholders & Global teams. Key responsibilities: Manage regulatory affairs SARA team Support Implementation of snacking made right initiatives Lead input to the development of project strategy and objectives Champion Issue Management in the MEA region chartering the course of action and driving solutions Provide regulatory direction and insight to cross-functional teams to drive implementation of regulatory changes Advance brand initiatives by conducting situational analysis to provide credible SARA recommendations Collaborate with the Nutrition Strategy and Communications staff to achieve business objectives Executes against the project strategy and objectives by autonomously creating appropriate action plans to meet those objectives, leveraging prior experiences to create robust action plans. Analyzes results, makes recommendations and provides appropriate follow-up actions Lead new ingredient and formula assessment for compliance with Nutrition Charter and other claims Leads legal/brand discussions on regulatory aspects of claim substantiation Leverage global tools and lead regulatory assessment to provide required substantiation for MEA business objectives Provide regulation interpretation ensuring regulatory compliance and technical accuracy Ensure proper resources management & reporting Qualifications University degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Chemistry, or related field At least 7 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs area At least 3 years of experience as a team manager Sound Project Management skills Proven experience in successfully leading initiatives (Critical Path Schedule, Risk Management tools, etc) Knowledge of global and local relevant regulations, policies, religious and registration requirements for ingredient, formula, claims, labels, packaging including product artwork and registration compliance Knowledge and understanding of Quality Policy expectations to deliver base quality programs and drive continuous improvement, putting the consumer at the heart of everything we do through the delivery of the Consumer Inspired Quality (CIQ) agenda Ability to uncover, understand and apply consumer, shopper and market insights to drive Technical Strategy, inform Commercial Strategy, and guide Design and Commercialisation of products, processes and packaging Knowledge of the implementation of food safety and sanitation principles and requirements to control, mitigate and alleviate risks.
