Operation of all ancillary equipment, including chillers, compressors, tank farm Thermal Oil Burners, Vacuum pumps and the tank farm control system. Assisting in the safe start-up and shut-down of all plants and ancillary equipment Carrying out weekly checks, including housekeeping and ensuring they are suitably actioned. Ensuring that hourly checks, including close monitoring of process units are carried out. Operating the safe use of fork lift trucks and ensuring checks are completed on relevant vehicles. Carrying out basic maintenance tasks such as replacing valves, seals, checking filters etc. Reporting more complex maintenance problems to the Distillation Team Leader. Operating and carrying out checks on Pilot plant if required Loading and unloading tankers, ensuring paperwork, analysis and transfer is carried out in an efficient and timely manner. Contributing to a good approach to Food Hygiene, HACCP and Quality and ensuring all relevant regulations are met. Exhibiting an awareness of COSHH, risk assessment and general process safety. Contributing to an excellent safety culture in general and specifically with regard to manual handling, Vehicle / Pedestrian safety, PPE and Accident / incident reporting. What we're looking for We are seeking someone with previous experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with Distillation experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high attention to detail, with an ability to learn new processes quickly, and a natural acumen for quality and health and safety.
