Key Deliverables B usiness Product Application Work on various application works in the laboratory / pilot plant. This encompasses design of experiment, recipe development, process studies, troubleshooting, process optimization and trials with external customers. Coach food technologists and food laboratory technicians who work on projects. Work with team to determine value propositions. Technical Support Provide in-depth technical solutions in ingredients, formulation, processing conditions and process optimization to go-to-market teams and external customers. Confidently conduct seminar and technical training for internal and external customers. Develop technical kits independently to support to go-to-market team. Attend to pilot / production trial at customer’s premises. A gility and Innovation New Product Development Support innovation in development of new ideas, new products or new product platforms through ideation sessions, literature searches and bench-top experimentation, along with ability to communicate the concept effectively. Evaluate experimental samples in food applications and work closely with Marketing to develop robust value propositions for new product launch. Make experimental design independently and work closely with global resources to develop new product. Follow through and facilitate the new product launch activities to a successful commercialization stage. Technology Keep up to date on information on food trends and technology. Interact with global technology team to exchange key learning, information and best practices and to explore new technical opportunities. Have clear understanding of customer’s and market requirements. R elationships and People Project Management Manage mid or long term internal projects and assist in project planning. Work on multiple cross-functional project teams. Closely work with go-to-market team to follow up mid and long term customer projects. Safety Participate actively in safety programs on-site. Continuously provide suggestions to upgrade safety awareness in the company. Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements: Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science / Technology. At least 7 years’ experience in a research and development role across various food applications with Bachelor’s degree. (At least 5 years’ experience with Master’s degree). Good project management skills, good communication skills, analytical, methodological, ability to multi-task, results oriented. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point). Fluent in English and Chinese. Ability to travel. Good track records of successful product development / launches.
