Your core portfolio will be working on the nations favourite sausage - Richmond & Naked Glory (meat free). You will have a wide and varied area and able to get involved with Walls & Fridge Raiders. You will work with the wider R&D team and operations team to drive the projects through the development process in a timely manner / To win in the market by providing relevant product design to create brilliant recipes that will be loved by our customers and deliver commercially for the business. To achieve success it is critical that the R&D Technologist works cross-functionally to ensure that all concepts/recipes developed are aligned with the business strategy. What you'll be responsible for: Interpretation of briefs to ensure the development of innovative and technologically competent solutions, that are in line with brand/customer expectations, operational constraints and commercial needs. Work alongside the Senior R&D Technologist and NPI to manage projects & co-ordinate project teams. Support the communication & management of all critical paths progress with the cross functional team ensuring regular progress updates. Ensure that R&D are actively liaising with the cross functional team to discuss all new products, raw materials and processing to iron out issues at the front end of the development process. Be aware of target costs, promotional mechanics (where applicable), quality tiering and operational efficiencies prior to developing propositions. Prepare product costings to target msps and understand the business implications from a commercial and manufacturing point of view. Working in partnership with the Kerry central purchasing team ensuring all new raw materials are approved prior to being approved by the customer Prepare product samples for customers, photography, nutritionals, shelf life, handovers, pre-pro and launches Manage the handover of approved products (customer & factory) to the site in accordance with the NPI process. To present all new concepts to site SLT prior to panels ensuring accurate costings are delivered against current factory capabilities Maintain awareness of market, consumer & restaurant trends and competitor activity, applying this knowledge during the development phase. What we're looking for: Process knowledge & factory product development experience Previous experience in the Food Manufacturing Industry desirable Product / Menu Costing Experience Sourcing of Ingredients/Produce Passionate about food Project management skills Highly organized multi-tasker Displays tenacity.
