Sagamore Process Operators, Sagamore Plant
Responsibilities include monitoring/controlling plant process equipment such as: Safely operate and maintain corn wet milling and starch processing equipment, including Packer, Bulk Bagger and forklift equipment Active participation in plant Safety, Food Safety and Environmental programs. Applicants will be required to work 12-hour rotating swing shift, three on/three off fast rotation from days to nights, including weekend schedules . Must demonstrate capability of lifting up to 50#, climbing stairs and ladders along with working at heights up to 50'.
Required qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, or higher education-preferred. Previous technical manufacturing process experience is a plus. The facility is a 24-hour per day, 7-day per week, 356 days per year environment.
Demonstrate ability to operate mechanical equipment and trouble shoot problems. Have good communications skills, both verbal and written using a computer; Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel along with various in-house spread sheets and log books. Background checks and drug/alcohol screening will be conducted.
Perform all job functions/activities with commitment to strong safety mindset/culture and compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Active participant in plant Safety, Food Safety and Environmental programs.
Meet and exceed housekeeping/GMP standards and food safety protocals.
Accoutable in decision making for the operation and maintenance of corn wet milling and starch processing equipment, including Packer, Bulk Bagger and forklift equipment.
Monitiring and controlling process parameters and equipment utilizing system and field controls.
Ablility to communicate openly, honestly, with integrity with all levels of the organization.
Self-starting and self-managing.
Goal-oriented and focused on continuous improvement of self and the operations.
Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
Ability to take responsibility and accountability in decision making.
Possess strong computer/technical skills.
