A key role within the matrix organization, leading the regional road-map and implementation of the product line and category strategies with commercial teams on the stabilizer, organized by Product/Category



The SFS business in APAC is facing a step-change and requires strong leadership to drive overall growth and work within the matrix organisation to layout and execute a clear strategy as our plan is to grow significantly in China.


In this critical role within the SFS Product Leadership and APAC Regional Teams, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the SFS portfolio and product P&L within the APAC region. As this business is looking to grow significantly and it critical piece to delivering our China growth plan (China Double Down), you will be accountable for leading the design, implementation and execution of the forward-looking plan, which is likely to involve challenging the existing model (including asset base) and develop a new blueprint. You will also be responsible for portfolio management and pricing strategy for the SFS business and will need to work closely with Regional Sales Directors to drive commercial initiatives and pipeline management. As a key member of the SFS business in APAC you will collaborate closely with Procurement, Finance, Technology, Supply Chain, Quality, Marketing and Global Operations.





Develop the regional strategy and execution roadmap, building on global product line strategy and regional category strategies

  • Alongside the Global PM, define the future business model to drive platform growth in APAC, including our blend portfolio, product prioritisation and desired customer mix
  • Conduct analysis on the current business to identify how best to implement the business model
  • Proactively identify push ideas and prospective customers, in line with regional and global strategy
  • Work with Customer Marketing and Regionals Sales Directors (RSD’s) to set and execute “marketing campaigns” which support sales teams
  • Compile competitor intelligence, and incorporate learnings into ongoing platform management
  • Drive consistent internal communications to “educate” and “train” internal stakeholders about SFS
  • Chair monthly Product Leadership Team meetings (PLT) in-region to manage day-to-day challenges


Partner with sales, marketing and technical teams to ensure pipeline development and commercialisation is in line with the delivery aspirations of the regional roadmap by

  • Work with RSD’s to fill and convert pipeline – challenge team to ensure that pipeline development and commercialization in line with delivery aspirations of the regional roadmap
  • Set regional marketing priorities and regional push pipeline initiatives with the customer marketing team
  • Alignment of regional strategies & resource allocation on pull projects
  • Recommend specific actions to drive growth, and support SKU management and tail rationalisation
  • Ensure appropriate opportunity qualification protocols are in place, providing input and challenge to RSDs and Technical Leads
  • Monitor monthly S&OP (including inventory); conduct gap analysis and identify / execute actions as required, and provide transparency to 12-month forecast
  • Drive regional raw material and category focus in-line with the regional roadmap
  • Support customer meetings (with Global Account teams / Regional Account teams) as required


Support product line profitability and margin management

  • Develop and execute SFS profitability and pricing strategies
  • Set floor price and target price for all SKUs, with support from a Finance Analyst (standard price lists are not employed)
  • Work with CSDs to manipulate and provide financial information to make the right business decisions
  • Support structural cost reduction programmes, and asset/inventory management strategies and projects


Effectively manage and solve day-to-day issues

  • Coordinate with required stakeholders to address customer complaints and / or internal operational and supply chain-related pain-points


Perform, Maintain and improve the EHS standard and requirements as set by the Company

  • Participate in the company’s EHS program including training, audit etc., arranged by the company

  • Deliverable on milestones on project management
  • Complete safety training and audits
  • Report near miss or unsafe act

  • Degree in food science or related discipline preferred.


  • At least 10 years of work experience in a similar area in the food industry with sales, marketing or product management in Asia Pacific


  • Strong technical knowledge on texturing, gums or stabilizer related portfolio
  • Good market & industry knowledge
  • Ability to lead and oversee projects to successful execution
