Responsible for providing customers with technical support for our Speciality Food Ingredients portfolio in Dairy market.
Identify business opportunity with Tate & Lyle ingredients. Understand the demands of FBS customers.
Technically recommend appropriate Stevia based solutions that may contain other T&L products to existing and potential customers
To ensure that technical goal for the region is in alignment with R&D and Sales
Develop and manage the technical relationship with key dairy customers in the region.
Ensure close collaboration between technical service and applications and work closely with, Marketing & Product Management for push projects.
To work with application people to perform laboratory work to test T&L products in customer specific application/process, to make the best recommendations. Transfer test recommendations in customer’s pilot trial.
To coordinate knowledge, organize and deliver training on stevia-based solutions to customers and T&L preferred distributors.
Communication of information on projects and product portfolio to internal and external customers.
To ensure that projects are entered into a project management tool (system and database)
Interact and assist business development & sales teams, prepare for customer presentations ensuring that requests are dealt with the agreed timeframe
Involve global technical service activities and share with the global technical service team on local market information, market trends and competitive activity. Meanwhile, leverage global success to the local team
To complete a report after customer visits
Any tasks assigned by the company within the scope
Some travel to visit customers, distributors in China, and some technical interaction overseas.
Offer timely cost-effective, innovative, consumer-preferred, healthy solutions to customer requests.
Promote links between customer and T&L research groups.
Support and drive sales results with the Sales team
Focusing on Customer Solutions, incl. prototyping, customer visits and pilot trial
Skills & Knowledge
Bachelor degree in Food Science, Technology or Food Engineering, experience in dairy applications.
At least 10 years of the dairy application working experience and has the experience to lead a team
Good knowledge of hydrocolloids
Have solid knowledge in hydrocolloid application with dairy products
Be able to create blending system and localize global blending food system
Hands-on experience in /dairy prototyping and pilot trials.
Good Spoken and written English
Pilot trials or production experience will be a plus
Knowledge and/or experience with food specialty ingredients – stabilizers
In depth knowledge of specific and or dairy product and category area
Good knowledge of food chemistry, microbiology and processing.
Willing to travel up to 40% of the time (within China and overseas)
Ability to build strong, good relationships with internal peers, sales and marketing, and customers
