IT Business Partner - Sales & Marketing

Job Description

Role Purpose

The IS/IT Manager, Sales & Marketing will lead and drive the delivery of IT solutions supporting Tate & Lyle’s commercial teams (Sales, Marketing, Product Management). Leveraging 3rd party providers and partners, you will support business users by designing, developing, and implementing functionality in platforms such as Salesforce.com.


This manager provides input to strategic decisions that affect the commercial functions of Tate & Lyle’s organisation. You will develop project budgets then ensure delivery of these projects on-time, in-scope, in-budget, and with customer satisfaction.


Main Accountabilities


  • Successfully partner with business leaders in commercial functions and teams across Tate & Lyle globally to develop a technical roadmap which supports Tate & Lyle’s strategic commercial roadmap
  • Act as project manager for smaller projects, and as overall programme manager for initiatives in the commercial roadmap
  • Deliver assigned projects on time within budget and scope ensuring that the benefits originally agreed are successfully delivered
  • Maintain accurate monthly forecasts against AOP and explain variances per business process management & forecasting schedule
  • Report monthly rolling forecasts with visibility of full year performance and opportunities
  • Communicateand coordinate applications-related changes within the relevant departments
  • Forge and maintain strong relationships with strategic external partners
  • Collaborate with business and technology leaders, both within and outside the organisation
  • Quickly become the trusted advisor to commercial teams


Project Delivery

  • Collaborate with business leaders to create business cases for new projects supporting the strategic goals of the commercial functions in Tate & Lyle
  • Participate and influence decisions in steering committees for projects supporting commercial functions
  • Ensure accurate and detailed documentation, as well as operational instructions for all newly introduced systems and technologies, are created and made easily available to relevant parties
  • Deliver assigned projects on-time, in-budget, to-scope, and with a high degree of customer satisfaction
  • Understand the business needs for solutions and providing the best IT solutions
  • Understanding IT needs in parallel with business needs
  • Lead product and technology validation process
  • Partner with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure standards are aligned and consistently followed

Skills and Experience Required

  • First class verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Team leadership and experience leading without authority / influencing stakeholders
  • Certified Salesforce Administration
  • Strong track record of progression within IT, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Progressive experience deploying and enhancing Salesforce.com in a B2B environment, preferably Agribusiness, Food Ingredients, Chemical or Food & Beverage industry
  • Experienced with Lightning (current certification beneficial)
  • Multiple waves of implementing Salesforce in Lightning
  • Salesforce App Developer certification beneficial
  • Experience developing lightning components, lightning pages with experience in Salesforce administration, customisation, data validation etc.
  • Hands on customisation APEX, Visual Force, Triggers, Batch, Schedule Apex, VF Components, Dataloader, Salesforce1 Mobile application support
  • Experience consuming and exposing SOAP and REST based APIs in Salesforce
  • Experienced Salesforce Architect, or Consultant (current certification desirable)
  • Experience with Einstein Analytics (current certification beneficial)
  • Experience working in environments with major ERP (preferably SAP), including integrating Salesforce with ERP
