Plant Support/Warehouse

Tate & Lyle is looking for exceptional candidates for its Warehouse Operator role at the manufacturing facility in Dayton, Ohio. Starting pay for this position is $23.24/hr. Benefits include medical/dental/prescription coverage. 401 (k), life insurance and more.

 

Position Summary

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this position is responsible for the overall plant warehouse duties including general shipping and receiving of materials. Position hours are Monday through Friday 6:30am to 2:30pm. The role seeks to attain plant goals for maximum performance in Safety, Quality Production, Cost, GMP, and Environment.

 

The role will be responsible for maintaining the warehouse which includes overseeing the organization/rearrangement of materials, recycling cardboard, keeping area clean and clear of obstructions, and assisting in maintaining assigned equipment.  The role will be responsible for shipping and receiving which includes but not limited to receiving, unloading, and organizing of packaging materials as well as maintaining and filing of paperwork associated with deliveries and offloading of shipments that contain bulk chemicals (Amine, Hydrocarbon, Dipotassium, Antifoam).  The role will also deliver material samples to the lab for analysis and verification of CoA.

Required Training

DOT HAZMAT Certification (offload of bulk chemical trailers)

Fork Truck Certification

 

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to safely perform the following tasks:

Lifting up to 50 pounds without mechanical assistance

Demonstrate full range of motion for bending, stooping, and lifting

Safely use fork truck

Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)

 

 

Qualifications

  • Passionate safety commitment including the belief that all injuries can be prevented
  • Self-disciplined and possessing the integrity to uphold Company Values at all times
  • Five years of fork truck/lift operation experience
  • Self-motivated, committed, dependable team contributor
  • Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures, climb stairs, lift and carry 50 lbs., and perform other physical duties
  • Must demonstrate basic mathematics
  • Possess manual dexterity for data entry
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products

Education & Work Experience

High School graduate or GED

Pre-employment drug screening

5 years of fork truck operation experience

Must be willing to work overtime including nights, weekends, holidays if necessary
