This a fast paced and complex environment at our Rochester, MN, fermentation plant with our AH&N (Applied Health & Nutrition) group, will give you the opportunity to be the liaison between corporate and site operations, coaching and mentoring teams to live Safety 1st, Quality Always as part of their work and daily lives.  

What you’ll do

 

  • Being the HSE site subject matter expert and drive HSE business strategy and initiatives.
  • Developing and implementing annual HSE objectives & improvement plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify site HSE training needs, develop appropriate resources, and execute training sessions for employees and management staff
  • Are you well versed in ISO 14001? We’ll need your expertise to lead an implementation and management of site support and/or maintain the system
  • Where necessary, lead investigation process and/or collaborate with appropriate team members
  • Partner with Human Resources on the status of all open Workers Compensation claims and coordinate activities to minimize lost and/or restricted workdays

 

What you’ll need

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a science based field of study or years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • 5 + years of experience with HSE regulations including OSHA, EPA, and local requirements.
  • 5+ years of  experience with relevant consensus standards such as NFPA and ANSI, and systems such as ISO 14001.
  • Experience engaging employees and developing a strong safety culture.
  • Intermediate to advanced Computer Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
