Work on various application works in the laboratory and pilot plant. This encompasses design of experiment, recipe development, process studies, troubleshooting, process optimization and trials with external customers. Strong collaboration with other functional teams is required to achieve the optimum value.
Provide in-depth technical solutions in ingredient, formulation, processing procedure and process optimization to go-to-market teams and external customers. Assist in seminar and technical training for internal and external customers. Attend to pilot / production trial at customer’s premises.
New Product Development
Support innovation in development of new ideas, new products or new product platforms through ideation sessions, literature searches and bench-top experimentation, along with ability to communicate the concept effectively. Evaluate experimental samples in applications and work closely with the respective Innovation and Marketing team to develop robust value propositions for new product launch.
Keep up to date on information on food trends and technology. Interact with global technology team to exchange key learning, information and best practices. Have clear understanding of customer’s and market requirements.
Participate actively in safety programs on-site. Play an active role in promoting continuous improvement in the safety culture within the company.
Ensure proper housekeeping of the ingredients, appliances, equipment and food samples required for the projects. Conduct scheduled maintenance of assigned laboratory / pilot plant equipment.
