About the role
Where You’ll Work: Are you ready to amp up your career in manufacturing? If the answer is yes, you may to join our Kerry Portland, ME facility! We make liquid coffee extract that is used in an ingredient in many food and beverages as well as used in the food service industry. We are adding a number of positions so if you are looking to build a career in manufacturing with a facility boasting a 7 year safety record with ZERO LTI's, we might be the team for you.
What You’ll Do: As the Production Operator, you’ll roast coffee, extract, and fill our product into a variety of different using industrial equipment and play a key role in maintaining the quality of finished product and packaging appearances while keeping the line running efficiently. You’ll do this by making sure the equipment is set up, maintained, and running efficiently and documenting batch production and defects along the way. Part of your job will be handling and moving material, so bring your muscles to move 50lb bags and driving skills to maneuver the forklift, we’ll train you on the rest.
Qualifications and skills
What You’ll Need: There are a few requirements you’ll need to be safe and successful in this job:
Are you comfortable learning new machinery with written and/or verbal procedures or instructions? This means using a control panel and continually evolving in your role and knowledge.
Do you have experience working alongside a team and operating machines in a manufacturing environment? The safety of our team and products are our top priority, so we prefer some experience but are happy to train you too.
Are you comfortable working on an off shift? This means working in the afternoons or evening (and there will be some overtime). Because you’ll be part of a team that will count on you, we’d like to see solid work attendance in your current/previous job.
