Mondelēz India Foods Ltd is a leading global confectionery & snacks company. It began its operations in 1948 by importing chocolates. After 60+ years of existence, it today has six company-owned manufacturing facilities at Thane, Induri (Pune), Malanpur (Gwalior), Sricity (Andhra Pradesh), Baddi (Himachal Pradesh), and Hyderabad and 4 sales offices (New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai). The corporate office is in Mumbai. 
We operate in five categories in India – Chocolate, Confectionery, Beverages, Biscuits, Gum and Candy and market 11 Power Brands which include Bournvita, Dairy Milk, Halls, Gems, 5Star, Choclairs, Perk, Celebrations, Bournville, Tang & Oreo. Mondelez India Foods Ltd dominates the chocolate market in India with approximately 70% share of the market.

R&D Q’s mission is ultimately to delight consumers by delivering unique product experiences to the consumers, which will over time underpin and anchor our brands. It does so whilst aiming at creating the most value for consumers, customers and shareholders.
This person is an experienced RD&Q developer and expected to work reasonably independently with some guidance. This position requires detailed understanding of the development process and good knowledge of basic technologies & food science principles to contribute to project objectives and outcomes.
This role is responsible for executing assigned technical projects, in Develop stage, related but not limited to value optimization, modifications to existing products & raw materials, quality improvement and support Deployment.
Project Planning
  • Obtains understanding of project objectives
  • Prepares detailed project plans and experimental design for assigned projects
  • Is able to identify risks and contingencies
    Program/Project Leadership & Execution
  • Execute according to agreed project plan (The role will require reasonable travel to various sites for plant trials and other factory based activities)
  • Gather and analyze data in a logical fashion
  • Record and document technical data
  • Manage identifies risks to deliver project including stakeholder management and alignment
    Product Specification & Regulatory
  • Prepares all necessary technical documents & specifications
  • Participate in product assessment against regulations, intellectual property, and corporate standards
    Organisation Excellence & Development
  • Acquires good understanding of the development process
  • Acquires advanced knowledge of basic technologies
  • Independently act as a member in a cross functional project team
  • Participate in other RD&Q activities as may be required (e.g. initiatives to improve executional excellence, continuous improvement of RD&Q processes etc.)


    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE   Technical / Functional skills:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Food science/Technology and/or engineering
  • Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in Food industry preferably in Chocolate but not essential
  • Competent computer skills and systems knowledge
  • Sound knowledge of HACCP and GMP
  • Sound technical knowledge and depth
  • Able to plan project activities and execute in timely manner within allocated/aligned resources
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
