Regulatory Assistant is accountable for:
  • Ensuring compliance to applicable internal, local and regional regulation, support and as a business partner in Indonesia. 
  • Implement regulatory compliance by design to avoid any unnecessary company lost (capital and credibility) due to incompliance to regulation
  • Work with internal stake holder (R&D, Nutritionist, and Marketing) to ensure innovation strategies take into account of regulatory development; provide input to innovation agenda to the advantage of the business.
  • Work with cross functional teams, including Corporate Affairs, Legal and Regional SARA to build credibility for the company through various projects and engage with stake holders to communicate science
  • As appropriate, represent the company on identified technical committee and industry association to drive and deliver company’s agenda and positions

Position Accountability Summary
  • Compliance (40%) - Regulation Affairs (Food and Food Product)
    • Be accountable for regulatory compliance of the Indonesia business
    • Assist in implementation of approval process for Approval of Pack Label, Points of Sales Material, and materials with health and nutrition message, as well as contribute to the refinement of excellent of cross-functional internal process.
    • Participate in tracking regulatory developments, inform key stake holders internally and externally and implement new regulation
    • Well-versed in Local Advertising Code and utilize Code to guide business activities while balancing business objectives.
    • Work with Indonesia Management Team, all function particularly R&D, Marketing, Corporate Affairs Team and Regional SARA
    • Ensure Halal certification role and responsibilities of SARA are well-defined in partnership with cross-function lead and process is robust in ensuring business continuity
  • Innovation facilitation (30%)
    • Work with R&D team and provide regulatory insight to the business to ensure innovation strategies take account of regulatory development and vice versa; provide input to innovation agenda to the advantage of the business.
    • Build case, prepare scientific dossiers as appropriate, meeting local regulatory requirements to obtain approval for novel ingredient.
  • External Affairs (20%)
    • Work with cross functional teams, including Corporate Affairs and Regional SARA to build credibility for the company through various projects and engage with stake holders to communicate science.
    • As appropriate, represent the company on identified technical committee and industry association to drive and deliver company’s agenda and positions through larger groups, including but not exhaustive of GAPMMI, ILSI Indonesia Country Committee, Indonesia CODEX sub committees.
    • Develop, maintain and enhance the positive relationship with regulators.
    • Engage food regulatory agency and work with trade association to achieve a more proportionate regulator response to incidence.
    • Assist in providing product and ingredient defense (e.g validity of claims, safety of ingredient)

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Experience
  • Degree in Nutrition Science as priority. Other degree are accepted are those in the area of Food Science and Technology
  • Fresh graduate are welcome
