About the role

Where You’ll Work:  Our Seattle plant creates syrups and sweet sauce variations for Kerry customers and brands. We are a work hard, play hard kind of team - in the office and our community thanks to Kerry’s employee engagement program. Key responsibilities

The safe operation of high speed filling, and packaging equipment including but not limited to: fillers, cappers, labelers, capsule and/or sleeve applicator, case erecter, case packer, case and/or bottle coders and pallet wrapper

  • Accurately recording of production data:
    • Raw material packaging material lot numbers and production dates
    • Line downtime to within (2) minutes
    • Brix and pH measurements
    • Packaging and finished goods scrap
    • Finished good pallet, case and container counts
  • Equipment changeovers and set-ups.
  • Flavor changes and wash-outs
  • Calibrate and operate pH meters and Refractometer
  • Hand stacking and/or manual pack-off
  • Daily cleaning: i.e. tanks, pipes and equipment, (CIP and COP) and floors
  • Maintain all sanitation documents in accordance with plant quality and safety requirements
  • Safe handling of chemicals
  • Manual and/or electrical pallet jacks
  • Removal and empting of production garbage and debris
  • Plant cycle count and inventory control policies
  • Proper documentation of chemical usage

Qualifications and skills

  • Capable of lifting 40 lbs
  • Previous experience in the food industry
  • Able to work unsupervised, as well as working together with others
  • Good organizational and mathematical skills
  • Knowledgeable in GMP and HACCP programs
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing sanitation requirements
  • Ability and willingness to follow, plant Quality, Safety and Security policies and guidelines
  • Able to effectively communicate with co-workers and plant management
  • Have a good mechanical aptitude
  • Must have experience or willingness to learn the duties listed in the job description.
  • Able to work flexible hours and overtime as required
