As a Supply Chain Planner, you will be part of our Supply Chain team.  If you’re looking to build a career in supply chain with a team you can have some fun with, we might be the team for you.  As a Supply Chain Planner you will:


  • Receives and coordinates work orders. Identifies and obtains (requisitions, orders, kits as appropriate and in keeping with procedures) determinable materials, entering material needs on the work order. Determines if critical items are in stock by verifying availability with stores.
  • Purchase raw material at lowest consistent cost with approved quality, procurement and delivery standards.
  • Understand raw material purchasing specifications including; kosher certificates, vendor product data sheets, import tariff information, raw material ingredient purchasing specifications.
  • Develop safety stock, minimum order quantities, optimal quantities for Raw Materials.
  • Identify requirements for order fulfilment, safety stock requirements and new product introductions.

Key responsibilities

The Supply Planner is extremely important to us.  We will rely on you to communicate material transfer requests to/from the warehouse. As a team member you will ensure aged, slow moving, and obsolete inventory action items are addressed in a timely manner.  Cost Savings, Cost Reductions, and Vendor Performance is a critical part of this position.


Qualifications and skills

To get the most of this role at Kerry you’ll need to come with knowledge in supply chain, ability to influence up, and we’d prefer if you had finance Supply Chain Planning experience.  You’ll also meet these minimum requirements:


  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.  We prefer a degree in Business / Logistics / Supply Chain / Finance / Engineering.
  • Do you have experience manufacturing environment and/or supply chain? 
  • We prefer at least 2 years of experience.  This will help jump start your career.  Do you have experience with a pricing system?  We prefer experience is this area but it is not required.
  • Do you have experience in computerized integrated information systems?  We would for you to have an in-depth knowledge of manufacturing, materials management, production planning, procurement and distribution and a superior understanding of manufacturing material flow in a plant (ERP, MRP II).
