Job Description

A growing local company selling a patented functional ingredient to the food, beverage and supplement industry is seeking an energetic, dynamic, Sales Manager.  The job duties include:

The European Sales Manager is responsible to drive sales and increase revenue through successful leadership and strong customer service consistently across the customer base. The Sales Manager will be highly motivated and determined to increase sales revenue through the growth of existing customers and by establishing new customer accounts in Europe. Strong management skills, as well as strong leadership skills, are required to be successful in this position. Additional requirements for the job: 

  • End-to-end coordination of customer orders
  • Maintenance of key accounts
  • Achieve weekly and monthly sales targets
  • Participate in and assist with product launches
  • Attend and represent the company at industry trade shows
  • Travel is required

Required Skills, Knowledge and Characteristics:

  • 5 years of successful natural ingredient sales
  • Must live in Germany, Belgium, France or The Netherlands
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills and proven ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in holding conversations with customers and customer-focused product development and outreach
  • Demonstrated ability to see the big picture and provide useful advice and input across the company
  • Ability to lead in an environment of constant change
  • Well presented, driven and can think on your feet!
  • Commitment to continuous learning
  • Ability to work in a team or autonomously 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with CRM applications such as Salesforce
  • Experience in the global marketplace
  • Experience selling ingredients in the food, beverage and/or supplement industry
