Job Description

Position Summary:

Develop and realize the sales strategy of Corbion biomaterials in order to meet current and future business targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the North America Biomaterials sales strategy in line with the overall Corbion biomaterials strategy in order to realize the current and future business goals.
  • Develop and realize the North America Biomaterials sales budget (net sales and added value).
  • Business development: realize a balanced sales pipeline in order to realize the sales growth targets in the short and long term.
  • Key account management: develop and implement key account plans for the strategic accounts.
  • Direct account responsibility for main customers in North America
  • Personnel: manage the North America sales organization.
  • Budget: prepare and monitor the expense budget of the sales department.
  • Participate in pharmaceutical and medical device trade shows and conferences either as a visitor or an exhibitor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master degree preferably in a relevant technical area such as polymer chemistry or technology
  • At least 10 yrs experience in sales management and business development in high added value markets
  • Experience of working in a regulated industry (pharma, medical device)
  • Exeperience in selling raw materials / excipients / API's to the medical and pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills and customer focus
  • Ability to travel as determined by business requirements at least 40% of the time.
