Responsibilities

  • Play an active role in maintaining and enhancing the safety of the workplace and the laboratories.
  • Participation in the plant’s safety initiatives.
  • Ensure that work is carried out in accordance to cGMP requirements, Safety considerations and site Quality Standards.
  • Ability to use a variety of physical and wet chemistry techniques. Micro testing experience an advantage.
  • Conduct In Process and Finished product testing.
  • Calibrate and verify the readiness of laboratory equipment.
  • Willing and able to work shift work including weekends and nights and overtime to meet production demands.
  • Partake in continuous improvement activities.
  • Communicate with team members and other functions to ensure all laboratory activities are coordinated.
  • Complete all appropriate training through SOP’s and safety Risk Assessments.
  • Provide additional technical support to laboratories as needed, which may include participation in cross-functional teams for site initiatives.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities, and when practical collaborate for seeking buy-in and implementation.
  • Ability to use computer effectively as work requires.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Problem solving skills.

Job Qualifications

Requirements:
  • 3 years plus experience in a similar position.
  • 3rd level Degree in Science or equivalent.
  • Experience in Powders testing would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of LIMS and SAP an advantage.
  • Flexibility, strong interpersonally and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Shift role.

The ideal candidate will be self- motivated, ability to work unsupervised, have strong trouble shooting/fault finding capabilities, excellent communication and people skills, and possess the ability to operate and contribute in a Team environment.
