In this new position, reporting to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager at our Carol Stream, Illinois manufacturing facility, you will provide engineering support for all operations and facility utilities while working on projects and improvements from conception to completion. Influence: Coordinate and monitor the preventative and corrective maintenance and repair activities so that the facilities, machinery, power sources and equipment operate reliably and apply agreed improvements to safeguard site assets, safety, health and environment. Monitor availability and state of maintenance tools, stores and equipment and advise on replacing or ordering new equipment and tools. Develop strategies for improving the facility. Study, research and develop plans to improve overall utilities within the facility to maximize their operation and life time. Collaborate: Coordinate and support maintenance teams in accomplishing and reporting routine maintenance activities, handling repairs, installations of equipment and machinery to minimize business disruptions caused by break-downs and malfunctions. Help maintain engineering library to include drawings, equipment manuals, specifications and equipment history. Provide technical advice to maintenance and operations managers with regards to operational effects of capital projects implementation Support: Monitor the daily inspections of production machines and equipment and all electrical devices, power supply circuits, distribution boards, control panels, pumps, lighting systems, air- conditions, fire alarm system and spare parts to evaluate requests for repair. Diagnose and report breakdown problems to the department head. Provide facility systems, equipment and process utilities designs and review for all equipment. Monitor performance of technical service contractors involved in utilities and services operations and implement corrective actions if necessary. You? Your professional profile includes: Bachelor degree in Technical engineering or related discipline. Plant Engineering or Maintenance Certification preferred with work experience of 2 or more years in manufacturing plants as Maintenance Engineer, preferably in the consumer goods Industry. Proficiency in technical engineering, problem diagnosis and resolution. Knowledge of TPM, KPI, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing principles. Good knowledge of EHS rules and guidelines.
