Business Unit/Function Primary Products Location Hoffman Estates, IL or Decatur, IL (Preferred). Other locations to be considered Band TBC Role purpose This position requires an experienced and specialized Technical Sales professional with deep knowledge in the brewing and fermentation space within the food, beverage and biochemical industries. The successful candidate will lead the Business Development activities for the Primary Products portfolio of food and beverage ingredients with specific emphasis on fermentation applications in both the brewing and industrial biochemical space. This role will also be the technical go-to for the brewing and fermentation segment supporting the Primary Products sales organization in a variety of situations. This position will be challenged to lead the development of new markets and uses of current products and manage the process for new products. The ideal candidate must be technically sound and organizationally savvy in order to successfully navigate a highly matrixed environment. This position requires creating strong partnerships with other internal Tate & Lyle regional and global functions Main accountabilities Responsible for Primary Products North America (NOAM) business execution in the specific category Technical resource for brewing and fermentation across Primary Products sales organization Seek new customers and markets for the Primary Products Food & Beverage Solutions product portfolio with particular emphasis on fermentation Manage new accounts through at least one cycle and work with Territory Sales Manager or Distribution Channel Manager to transfer account management responsibilities as necessary. Partner with multiple stakeholders including ICD, Supply Chain, Finance and Food & Beverage Solutions sales to ensure strategic alignment Work collaboratively with Primary Products Product Line Managers ensuring business development objectives are aligned with product line strategies Performance measures Deliver Primary Products NOAM AOP New customer acquisition per product line strategies Volume based contract compliance and total contribution margin generated on a fiscal year basis against new business goals System utilization and pipeline management (SFDC, APO) Account Engagement, including call frequency, quality call reporting and contract execution Monthly business reviews Management and growth of opportunity pipeline, including ability to move projects through the sales funnel and ultimately to completion Market Intelligence – maintain the SFDC Universe of opportunities for all PP products Skills and experience required Deep understanding of brewing and fermentation process Proven experience working successfully with new and underdeveloped customers to grow existing and new product solutions High level strategic industry acumen and category understanding to anticipate industry trends that create opportunities for our Commercial organization Significant industry experience, including expansion drawing on relationship management and professional maturity High level of strategic thinking to maximize the ROI of our resources Ability to thrive working in a dynamic, changing and evolving environment Demonstrated ability to navigate a highly matrixed work environment Strong strategy comprehension – understanding the big picture and then successfully translating to tactical execution Superior influencing ability to lead peers and align internal Tate & Lyle functions Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills Willingness to travel Our Culture OUR VALUES Safety Integrity Respect LEADERSHIP BEHAVIORS Partnership- We work together as one global team to deliver for our customers.
