Regulatory Scientist II SARA (Scientific Affairs, Regulatory Affairs) is a business partner that drives and protects Mondelez International competitive advantage by leveraging regulatory & scientific affairs expertise. The European Regulatory Compliance Team ensures that the complete MEU portfolio (Raw materials, recipes, final products, packs, claims, advertisements and corporate commitments) is in compliance with: Local legislations and standards; European legislations; Company policies. (QPs) Internal SARA guidance Role responsibilities : The Regulatory Scientist II (SG8) within the Gum & Candy Category ensures that raw materials, recipes, finished products, packs are in compliance with local legislation and standards, European legislation and company policies: Review and approve raw material, recipe and finished product Validate ingredient and nutritional claim and in addition more complex claims; including claims on pack, in advertisements and other media for Europe (including local) brands under its scope Conduct Products Labelling Reports (PLRs) for European (including local) brands and Labelling coordinator role for MEU brands and review of Master Artwork: Gum and Candy Provide Regulatory Guidance for the local project team Conduct LABEL specifications and review PROD specs including H&W policies Advise on general enquiries from local authorities Review PLR translation and local approval for MEU Coordinate and inform the regulatory network Pre-review and approval of claims on labels, advertisements, media Product Artwork Approval. Managing Deviation requests: Analyse the situation, prepare the consolidated regulatory assessment and provide recommendation Interact and communicate as a regulatory partner with multiple functions including RD&Q, Product Change Management, Marketing, Consumer Services, Supply chain, Legal, Corporate affairs and country management. *For claim validation and pre-review of claims, advertisements, media, regulatory guidance and decision making in case of sensitive matters (e.g. risk assessment; non-conformity of raw materials, recipes, finished products and packs; enquiries from consumers or any other external people, etc.). The support and validation from management or experts will be needed in relevant cases. Qualifications Role requirements : Food or Nutrition Science Background with profound knowledge of European Food Legislation Project leader/management skills: priority setting, create urgency, define scope, delegate and coordinate, plan & follow-up, prioritise & manage change, communicate efficiently to project members, sponsors, LT Strong communication skills: be clear and concise in regulatory advice to people who may not be familiar with the regulatory discipline. Enable efficient decision making by senior management via straight forward communication.
