About the role The Kerry Center in Beloit, is our headquarters for North America and we are a leader in taste and nutrition for the global food, beverage and pharmaceutical industry. We have approximately 700 employees at this location in roles such as regulatory, RD&A, finance, procurement, supply chain and customer care. This site is commutable from major cities such as Milwaukee, Madison & Chicago, accessible right off of the freeway. Key responsibilities As a Manager Commodity Procurement you will have accountability for $100-$150MM + of commodity ingredient spend. You will actively participates in the strategic sourcing activities for the America’s Region, with the goal of achieving significant initial cost reductions and price risk management, while maintaining/improving product quality and vendor service levels. Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability/price, and prepares market analysis reports. Manages commodity drivers to manage price risk and volatility of underlying market movements. Implementation of category sourcing initiatives Master agreements properly codified into local contracts Prepares/issues purchase contracts and change notices. Prepares/reviews contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements Solve operational issues with vendors Reviews/resolves vendor claims and contracts Qualifications and skills To get the most of this role at Kerry you’ll need to come with knowledge in procurement ability to influence up, and we’d prefer if you had procurement experience. You’ll also meet these minimum requirements: Bachelor’s Degree is required. We prefer a degree in Agriculture Economics, Business, Finance or Food Science. Do you have food industry and buying experience? We prefer at least 5 years’ experience as it will jump start your career.
