You’ll do this by making sure the equipment is set up, maintained, and running efficiently and documenting batch production and defects along the way. Part of your job will be handling and moving material, so bring your muscles to move 50lb bags and driving skills to maneuver the forklift, we’ll train you on the rest. Qualifications and skills What You’ll Need:   There are a few requirements you’ll need to be safe and successful in this job: Are you comfortable learning new machinery with written and/or verbal procedures or instructions? This means using a control panel and continually evolving in your role and knowledge. Do you have experience working alongside a team and operating machines in a manufacturing environment? The safety of our team and products are our top priority, so we prefer some experience but are happy to train you too. Are you comfortable working on an off shift?   This means working in the afternoons or evening (and there will be some overtime). About the Role This role has responsibility to co-ordinate and drive the delivery of operational targets, initiatives and improvements at one of our manufacturing facilities. You will be required to support department managers in delivering factory performance improvements through the facilitation of Site teams using lean tools and techniques. Initially with a very hands on approach to developing capability and leadership skills, you will develop into a People Manager with potential Shift Management responsibility. You will have specific project tasks related to driving the introduction of aspects of strategic change as the business continues to grow. Your direct Line Manager will be the Production Manager, but you may also receive instruction from the Operations Manager or other Managers as appropriate.   You will have real opportunity to engage right across the business and make a difference early in your career. You will be supported and work alongside one of the most experienced food manufacturing teams in the world.   Key Responsibilities Key responsibilities of the role are summarised below and are subject to change according to business needs: Support the Site Strategic Agenda and the successful implementation and maintenance of the Kerry Quality Standard (Site Audit Standard). facilitate the products quality and audit lab with an aim to optimize and improve the products quality, lab process optimization and working efficiency Conduct microbiological inspection on Raw Materials, Semi-finished goods, Finished goods state standards and regulations. Well maintain and control the authenticity, accuracy, and in time of the inspection results. Inform the manager immediately when experimental incident happens. Make records during the inspection process, fill in inspection reports, and inspect qualified raw materials, semi-finished products, etc. Responsible for production workshop environment, health and ensure the product quality. Coordinate quality system document preservation and tracking Identify, manage, and execute initiatives to deliver significant improvements in the areas of: o   Quality insurance and control and system o   People Management o   Materials control and efficiency Facilitate and support management teams (and other teams) involved in major transformational projects. Maintain awareness of best practice and modern improvement techniques. Ensure familiarity is achieved with Kerry’s preferred method of problem solving (root cause, 8 step etc.)   Person Specification:   We are looking for promising Graduates with the following skills / qualifications, and demonstrating the following attributes, to succeed in Kerry:   Minimum second upper honours or its equivalent in Food Science, Manufacturing, Engineering or related specialization Fresh Graduate or with less than 1 year working experience who is able to demonstrate a keen interest in a fast-paced Manufacturing environment Active involvement in co-curricular activities Ideally familiar with lean / CI principles and with some awareness of best practice. Can demonstrate clear experience of successful leadership in their academic and non-academic development. Demonstrates a passion for Food.
