GrassGreener Ingredients™ are working in partnership with a global $multi-million food ingredients company with several manufacturing facilities globally (Europe, USA & Asia). We are searching for a senior professional to lead and manage sales, customer services and NPI teams of the Americas region. For this position, we are looking for candidates who are particularly suited to generating new business in tough markets. You should be tough and assertive, even aggressive on occasion, enjoying the challenge of opening up new territories. When dealing with existing customers, you should concentrate more on up-selling activities than on-going account maintenance.   Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Develop an operating budget and longer-term strategic plan for the sales Region that meets overall Business goals. Create and implement strategic sales, marketing and business development activities and milestones that successfully achieve these business goals. Develop appropriate monitoring and control processes to ensure plan adherence; modifying the strategy in light of changing circumstances. Be an integral member of the Global Management team. Lead and Mentor the Sales, Customer Service and NPI team. Manage NPI to ensure customer and market appropriate new products are develop in appropriate timescales. Global Key Account Manager Global Food Service account. Work closely with Operations to resolve issues associated with customer supply and service - act as the “customer champion” whilst ensuring a balance with the Company needs. Monitor competitors’ activities, including relevant sales and marketing data, and advise the Business of any appropriate actions to be taken as a result of these observations Use available data to accurately forecast sales and set appropriate performance goals Manage customer service to add value to the customer and differentiate our clients offering from competition. Ensure that the marketing and PR activities, including the Company website, are up to date and market relevant. Be a “Company Champion” to all relevant stakeholders Manage NPI pipeline for strategic alignment and special growth projects   Job Specification/Qualifications:   Degree in Sales, Marketing, Food Science or equivalent experience Minimum five years’ experience in senior sales role, ideally B2B or Food Service, with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets Demonstrated ability in managing teams based in multiple locations and working remotely. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present strategy and results to staff members at every level of the organisation Ability to work well in cross functional teams, ensuring a balanced outcome whilst representing the customer in these cross functional groups. Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective clients. Demonstrated skill in negotiating and closing on crucial sales contracts. Ability to multi task and work in a high-pressure environment. Can do attitude and focussed on continuous improvement and learning.
