Technical Sales Manager/Business Development - Value Added Dairy Ingredients Territory is East Coast. Best location - within 100 miles radius of Baltimore, MD. Our client wants: A Food Scientist with Ingredient Sales experience Ability to call on a client's R&D staff and build relationships Determine that products are right for their food items Negotiate the sale Acceptable degrees: Food Scientist, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology or Engineering Travel requirements will be 50% - 60%. This is a business development opportunity for someone who understands the Food Industry. Our client's products are high quality and offer nutrition and maintain taste & texture. Responsibilities include: Sell Identified Target Accounts Liaison between Company and key influencers at customers including the appropriate application specialists (food scientists) to develop appropriate formulations that solve the customer problems or needs. Develop account plans and pre-call plans in order to uncover account needs and move key account projects to close. Develop relationships with all key influencers at accounts including R&D, Marketing, Purchasing and other. Prepare and give professional presentations as required on the nutritional, functional and economic advantages of the Company product. Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities at Food Companies Prospect key accounts in the territory to uncover potential customers that could utilize the Company's technology. Cold call and network within an account as required determining the best fit. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related science field is required 5-8 years of technically value added ingredients sales experience is required. Background with dairy ingredients is preferred; however, other functional food ingredients may be considered. Travel is a minimum of at least 50% Territory is the entire East Coast. The best location is within 100 mile radius of Baltimore, MD.
