POSITION SUMMARY: The Production Operator is based at the Totowa, NJ plant and reports directly to a Production Supervisor. This position will work directly on the production floor to complete tasks related to machine operation, batch production and safety. The ideal candidate must be willing to work 3rd shift. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Responsible for product quality while maintaining company standards and processes. Operate blender and kettle machines while maintaining a positive, clean and safe working environment. Perform boxes and bags palletizing. Follow all GMP’s, Safety and Environmental regulations as well as company policies. Complete production reports to identify problems and maximize productivity. Attend regular team meetings which include effective communication of organizational and policy changes. Adhere to Lean Process Control Board procedures to ease communication at shift changes Additional duties as assigned. POSITION SUMMARY: The QC Technician performs and interprets analysis on all plant raw materials and finished products. The position also maintains laboratory records, generates weekly reports to management regarding all approved batches, and interacts with other department personnel and Production Supervisor. The position is required to work a shift schedule. Physical moving of packaged product is required.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Analyzes all incoming raw materials to ensure conformance to specifications. Approves or rejects raw material based on analytical data. Analyzes all finished products to ensure conformance to specifications. Approves or rejects product based on analytical data. Maintains all applicable laboratory records regarding batch approval or rejection, raw material approval or rejection, and communicates this data to management personnel as required. Inspects shipments of all products as requested to ensure compliance with specifications. Performs instrumental analysis using atomic absorption, gas-liquid chromatography, and other techniques as required. Effectively communicates with other department personnel and management. Ensures that information on shop orders, labels and cartons is correct. Ensures the cleanliness of equipment before certain products are produced. Required to perform audits and inspections of plants, product or paperwork such as work instructions. Required to perform environmental samples as needed.   EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED: College level chemistry background or equivalent experience; college level degree desirable. Experience in a related industry laboratory environment; atomic absorption, gas-liquid chromatography, HPLC or near-infrared spectrophotometry beneficial.   Working Environment: Analyses in the laboratory involve the use of strong acids, bases, and corrosive materials. Some chemicals have been listed as potential health hazards necessitating the use of fume hoods, protective clothing and other devices. Hot plates and ovens which operate at elevated temperatures are also used. Some flammable liquids are present. Hot liquid samples of products will be present in the laboratory on a regular basis. A microwave drying oven is also used for testing of hydrated products. Inspections of the plant or audits of paperwork may take individuals out of the laboratory and into the plant or outside the building in inclement weather. Some work shifts may have only one technician present so laboratory safety must be a constant consideration. Personnel shall perform their duties consistent with OSHA regulations.

Production Supervisor – Totowa The Production Supervisor is based at the Totowa plant and reports directly to the Operations Manager. This position will directly support the Operations Manager and supervise the union employees on the production floor. This position will work hands on with the production staff as well as work closely with the other supervisors/leadership team. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het uitvoeren van analyses en het vastleggen van resultaten conform GMP richtlijnen De Business Unit Biomaterials produceert en verkoopt een breed productenpakket monomeren en biodegradeerbare (co)polymeren. Deze producten worden als grondstof gebruikt voor biomedische en farmaceutische toepassingen die aan strenge GMP-richtlijnen moeten voldoen. Position Summary: Perform corrective and preventative maintenance as directed to maximize equipment up time and minimize equipment downtime. Respond to requests for maintenance. Corbion is seeking a Formulator and Process Engineer who embodies our behaviors of Set Clear Direction, Make the Difference, Focus on Customers and Deliver Through Teamwork Key Position Responsibilities As our Formulation and Process Engineer, you will implement new products from creation to commercialization. You will guide newly created products, in their development all the way through to plant implementation. As the Formulator and Process Engineer, the main responsibilities are: Explore, develop and implement processes and products, matching with marketing requirements. These products are predominantly food products in powder form. Participate in product implementation project teams as Technical Lead, whereby the Transfer of Technology from lab to plant is one of the key capabilities. Build & maintain a broad development and implementation expertise in multiple specialties by an internal / external network; collect, generate, apply and make available knowledge in relevant field(s) of expertise. Support implementation, optimization, cost reduction and migration of new or existing processes and products at Corbion's locations or at tolling third parties. Prepare production runs. Give support to factory scale trials and validation of product manufacturing. Lead troubleshooting and corrective actions in case of production issues and customer complaints. Translate problems back to lab-scale trials and knowledge base. Technical qualification of toll manufacturers and process confirmation for all outsourced products. Reviewing our current production processes and recommending improvements to equipment design and operating procedures to increase product quality and batch-to-batch consistency. Support intellectual property, regulatory affairs, marketing and sales with relevant expertise. Coaching and talent development of specialists, scientists, technicians and/or trainees. Candidate Profile In addition to your educational achievements of a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, the successful candidate must also have: Minimum Three to Five years' work experience in a relevant role. Education in chemistry, engineering, food science or equivalent Expertise on food production and process development as well as ingredient functions in dry powder blending, various emulsions/homogenization and adsorption/plating of powders.
